Even though I lean a little bit more towards the conservative side (on some things), I would agree that Obama is the best option out of the few choices we have. The past few elections have had horrible Republican candidates.

It's just a sad fact of life that nutjobs get the most attention, this is just as true in politics. Case in point: Bachmann, Santorum, and Limbaugh are all nutjobs that you hear about constantly in the media. However, in the grand scheme of things they have no impact. It's the leadership that matters, but they get little notice in the news. Look at John Boehner, he's the House Majority leader and a pretty stand up guy, but you don't hear crap about him. Because he doesn't make republicans look bad, so it's not news. If the media gave equal coverage to the nuts on the left I'm sure you'd think the same of them.

He's also not running to become president... Romney is going to be up against Obama... and he IS a nutjob, I figured we were just talking about the ones running, in which case they are. I know there are republicans out there that aren't completely stupid.

It's easy to see that Keynes' ideas aren't working so good this time around. The problem with using stimulus now when compared to the great depression is that we are to globalized.
I'm not a fan of Obama, but when it comes to the debt, it put more of the blame on the economists that thought massive spending would work.

No, I think that employers shouldn't be allowed to FIRE a woman because she takes birthcontrol, I don't believe that employers should have the CHOICE not to cover birthcontrol based on their religious beliefs, they cover vasectomies for men which is birthcontrol, but they get the choice to cover the pill?

I also don't think government should be allowed to RAPE me if I want an abortion, they need to stay away from that area of my life all together, that's MY choice not theirs. Not only are they taking away rights of women, they are sanctioning many to death by trying to pass laws keeping women from having abortions who may need it in a life or death situation. They are also forcing women with pregnancies that will not end in a live birth to go through carring a dead or dying fetus inside of them which is basically torture.

Again, if the Republicans WERE NOT nut jobs, they wouldn't be trying to pass and passing such stupid laws, and saying such stupid things about the majority of the voting population.

Also, i hate to say this, but i'm going to be honest and bring it out. Look at the world's population. 7 billion fucking people. In the 1960's the population was only 4 billion. That means the population had almost doubled in the last 50 years. If this keeps up at its current rate, we're going to run out of food and people are simply going to starve to death until enough have died from starvation that we can feed what's left again. Every child that's aborted will ease the pain of the earth by just a tiny bit. So allow women to have responsibility and realize having 12 kids is bad.

Okay so I'm just going to respond to all the anon posts assuming it's the same cowardly person behind each of them.

1) Are you a woman who has carried a child? No? Oh so you have no right to say how any woman feels about an abortion
2) There is a very very small majority who feel nothing while getting an abortion but the rest are traumatized by the experiance
3) You're statistics are very wrong, what you are saying is that women only get abortions for themselves which implies that NO fetus becomes diagnosed with a fatal disease, that means NO woman goes into labor early with no chance of saving the baby, that means NO woman ever has a risky pregnancy that could result in her death. Yeah, that seems logical
4) If the child had rights, I would have gotten tax money the DAY I got pregnant, but I have to WAIT until the child is BORN to get any money from the government. Why? Because it's not a person until it is living and breathing outside of the womb, it has no rights when it's in the mother, it's not even a functioning individual until at LEAST 25 weeks and even after that it requires a lot and I mean A LOT of care to stay alive
5) The abortion rate hasn't gone UP since abortion has been legalized, no, in reality the percent has stayed the same, the ONLY change with legalized abortion is that the fatality rate in women has gone down from going out and finding illegal ways to abort, or dying all together from complicated pregnancy
6) Abortion has been apart of our society for many many years, making it illegal again doesn't make it go away, it results in more deaths of women, and more babies born with complications due to failed illegal abortion attempts, so the child will die outside the womb or will live it's life with damage due to the failed attempt.
7) Nobody is FOR abortion, being pro choice doesn't mean you go out and say Hooray abortions!

I'm sorry, but I think that whole thing with "Guys need to stay out of it" is wrong. Mainly because most women who say that only say it because they are on the other side, but they don't mind it when a guy is on their side. Then again, guys shouldn't have to worry about it, because it's only for the choice, it's not like their deciding whether or not the woman should abort or not....I don't know. I just know that I don't feel it right for a woman to say that and allow for men supporters. I do agree with everything else you are saying though.

I'm an Obama 2012, after being a supporter in 2008.
Everyone may not agree, and I get that, but for me personally, things have gotten better in my life since Obama. I've gotten my first job, an even better job, as well as a good raise. I was able to finish college because Obama vetoed a bill that would deter my Hope scholarship payments within my state. Plus I also agree with Obama's work for equality and women.

While I may not agree on ALL the issues Obama stands for, it is a lot better than the GOP's joke of a running they got going. Too busy fighting each other than trying to make anything better or displaying an actual agenda without bigotry. As well as making statements a five-year old could top.
