Facts about dinosaurs
that you may or may not know!
There is no such thing as a
brontosaurus. The original
name apatosaurus has been
the real name for this
creature since 1975.
That is genetically modified
featherless -
thing, that is
really supposed to be a
deinonychus.
THIS is a velociraptor:
And they were about the size
of a turkey.
Even though spinosaurus is the
largest known meat eater ever
to walk the earth, its main diet
consisted of fish, with a pretty
to match. In short, it
would not have been able to
break the neck of a T rex.
The big frills that all
had were actually
pretty weak and didn' t offer
any real protection. As so
much else in the animal
kingdom, they were probably
there only for showoff.
The reptiles that swam and
flew during the mesozoic era
were NOT dinosaurs. Please
people, this is something I'
known since I was 5 years old.
A common misconception is
to call all pterosaurs for
pterodactyls, which is just a
sub group of these flying
reptiles.
T rex may have been
completely covered in
feathers, and might have
looked something like this:
And lastly, birds are in the
dinosaur family, in the same
group as theropod dinosaurs.
Yup, that' s right. Dinosaurs are
actually alive today... and you
eat them at KFC on a regular
basis.

I have finally found someone who has a common interest in Dinosaurs! now I can have a decent conversation without the person making references to The Land Before Time! (though it was an amazing movie)
