I can understand why people hate reposts, ponies, dolan, or just about anything else on this site, but I still cannot understand why the fuck everyone freaks out over a goddamn font type...Seriously, someone enlighten me.

Whenever a monkey would try to grab the fruit they would spray all the monkeys with ice cold water, Sooner or later the monkeys would Savage beat any monkey that attempted to get the fruit. They started swapping out monkeys, the new monkey oblivious to the other monkeys punishment would try to grab the fruit and the other monkeys would beat it. This cycle repeated until none of the original monkeys remained. Yet the monkeys would still beat the new monkeys attempting to get the fruit even though they had never felt the cold water and had no idea why they are doing it.

How about you learn your shit before making yourself look like a dumbass? We designers hate the MISUSE of Comic Sans, not the font itself. And it's funny, because using Courier in a comic is RETARDED, but using Comic Sans is perfectly fine, because that's what they made it for: C-O-M-I-C-S.

fj its time you learn some history about great things and comic sans is one of them ... so long ago Microsoft designer Vincent Connare began work on Comic Sans in October 1994. Connare created a number of child-oriented fonts for various applications, so when he saw a beta version of Microsoft Bob that used Times New Roman in the word balloons of cartoon characters, he decided to create a new face based on the lettering style of comic books he had in his office, specifically 'The Dark Knight Returns' and 'Watchmen' (fav hereos for most of us) ....He completed the face too late for inclusion in MS Bob, but the programmers of Microsoft 3D Movie Maker, which also used cartoon guides and speech bubbles, began to use it. The speech eventually became true voice, but Comic Sans stayed for the program’s pop-up windows and help sections. The typeface later shipped with the Windows 95 Plus! Pack. It then became a standard font for the OEM version of Windows 95. Finally, the font became one of the default fonts for Microsoft Publisher and Microsoft Internet Explorer. The font is also used in Microsoft Comic Chat, which was released in 1996 with Internet Explorer 3.0.
