Love and Tolerance you say?

I think it's a bit hard to say cloppers, haters, and reposts are all the same thing and need to be treated equally, but I see your point. Lemme just try and clear up a few things.

Cloppers: These guys DO need to be tolerated. Their activities don't affect anyone other than themselves, so you have nothing to get upset about. They keep their R34 ponies in specific places, so you're only going to find them if you go looking for them. You don't have to love them, but you shouldn't give them shit for what they do. Tolerance means accepting that others like certain things even if you don't like it personally

Reposts: We have every reason to dislike reposts. People seem to take "love and tolerace" as something way too black and white. We try to love and tolerate other people, but we do not have to love and tolerate everything. Reposts are just as irritating to bronies as they are to anyone else, so we have no reason to love or tolerate them. To try and keep pony posts at a high quality (very frequently not the case here on FJ) it is necessary to condemn the reposts and support the new material.

Haters: Again, we have no reason to love and tolerate haters. We love and tolerate people if they are different, but we do not love or tolerate people if they are obnoxious cunts. If you're trying to piss people off then you deserve to be hated. To use a more extreme example, you wouldn't love or tolerate a murderer or a rapist because they are actively trying to hurt others.

TL;DR 'Love and Tolerace' are buzzwords for the brony fandom, but they are not to be universally applied.

Love and Tolerance used to be an actual rule. It made us what we are.

Then people decided it was a guideline, which made sense. Bronies were still kind and loved others.

Now, no one gives a shit about Love and Tolerance.
Back in my day, we would love everyone. Now bronies are all about hate.

I'm a brony since pony thread 5 came out on FJ (beginning of June if I remember well...). And love and tolerance weren't the annoying bullshit they are today because of the retards (AKA ponyfags) who consider themselves as a brony.

Today, bronies say "IMMA LOVE AND TOLERATE THE SHIT OUTTA YOU BUT I pinkie YOU DOWN LOLOLOLOL". They also try to transform everything into something pony related.

Now, let's get back to what love and tolerance really are:

"Guys...? I'm gay..."

The asshole coming from the internet will say "GET OUT OF MY INTERNET YOU FAGGOT! GO SUCK A DICK THAT'S ALL YOU'RE GOOD FOR!"

The annoying brony will say: "OMYGAWD IMMA YOU PROTECT BECAUSE YOU'RE MY BRO AND I LOVE YOU! BROHOOF!"

The "true" brony will say: "So...? It's not like it's a big deal or anything. Gay or not, you're still the same person right? So I don't see why we shouldn't be friend anymore."

Of course, even the true bronies like to do the retard just to piss the haters even more because it's funny as fuck

I'm a Brony and I don't follow those rules... well, not beyond that of general decency. I'll respect those who respect me. I don't have a problem with those who enjoy doing what they like so long as it isn't hurting anyone.

Just because you are a Brony, it doesn't mean you have to be better than anyone else or change who you naturally are. Shut up and enjoy the internet. We're all in this together.

Bronies are categorized by liking My Little Pony, that part is true. But as far as I'm concerned, labeling all bronies by anything aside from that would be stereotyping. Some bronies "love and tolerate", some don't, some bronies "clop", some don't, some bronies respect non-bronies, some dont, etc. etc.

Bronies aren't one person, they're all different, they all have different opinions and personalities, so assuming every brony you meet will be a loving and tolerant person because of a phrase associated with them is generalizing, because just because that person likes MLP doesn't mean they have to follow the rules of "love and tolerance", although some people do, regardless of that trait being affected by being a brony or not.

TL;DR: All bronies are different in some way. Some will love and tolerate, and some won't, but never label them all as the same thing, because that would be stereotyping.
