I'd have to agree. Everyone I know used to tell me "You should watch The Big Bang Theory. You remind me so much of Sheldon!" And then I watched it and... I was horribly underwhelmed. It wasn't terribly funny and the subject matter did not meld very well with some of the higher-level humor as they like to put it.

In short, an okay show and that's it.

I agree, almost everyone I know say the same thing to me, although I've already watched a few episodes of The Big Bang Theory before them, and I must admit, they do like to talk "smart", by smart I mean, they blurt out words that make them sound smart but in reality they have no idea what they just said.

Not all, you must have at least some knowledge of different subjects that the general audience does not tend to know. Some people that watch the show could only think "Wut did i just watch." (pic related)

Seriously... they also like to think of themselves as "nerds" when they actually are just some bloody hipster or posers.

Sheldon believes in God. Steven doesn't. I believe we have found the chink in this team's armor

Actually, sheldon is agnostic. in no way does it say he believes in a deity.
And the actor that plays sheldon is gay.

being gay doesn't mean you don't believe in God. He also grew up in a very religious family and there have been examples in the show where he quoted from the Bible

actually stephen does, but not in the typical sense.
he sees god the way Einstein did too: as the collective laws an mechanics that drive the universe. he also said that when we fully understand all of quantum physics that "we will read the mind of god".

Jim Parsons character (Sheldon Cooper) does not believe in god, while Jim himself does.

False, knowing House he would pick Sheldon off pretty easily. If House were to really argue with Sheldon, I'm quite certain that house would be able to identify Sheldon's flaws and essentially get the whole mom problem thing. The argument would only last until Sheldon cracks.

I think both he does listen to her wholeheartedly and he did have a mental break down on the episode where he was suppose to take acting lessons; but that's far from the point House would notice his weaknesses either way.
