This. The community and comments are the main reason i like this site more than any other, 9gag has no real comments section, it's just facebook comments. memebase comments section is just horrible, theres no sense of community, funnyjunk's comment section just seems more civilised in a way.

Also 9gag has really pissed me off because 3 of my friends go on that site all the time and all i hear from them now is "COME AT ME BRO" "LOL TROLLING" "LOOK OUT, WE GOT A BADASS OVER HERE" and for some reason they find it hysterical. One of them has gotten so bad that i honestly cannot have a conversation with him, he's put memes in our chemistry presentation after i made it look professional and presentable, and everytime i talk to him over the internet i get either a "TL;DR" or some other meme quote. The other 2 end up calling memes "9gag faces".

Of course not, your post was probably one of the most sensible things i've read on funnyjunk in a while. All i see on youtube videos posted here are "FJ ARMY" or "FUNNYJUNK RULES" on the youtube page.

Obviously facebook and reddit are bigger, but I think we are bigger than 9Gag, as in we get more individual hits rather than overall hits. We have a massive anon community it is at least double our members anyway so we are not as small as you think :) Totally agree with you though on leaving the cancer on the other sites.
