people still enjoy the old pokemon because it was a good show that was aimed both sexes, and the series has a very successful video game series which keeps it running even stronger.

Regardless of the gender it was aimed at, it was still aimed at little kids, and following your logic of it's a show for little girls, then what if little boys watched it :O then what if little girls watched pokemon which lets face it, was predominantly a male show, I'm not saying it's the best show ever or anything like that, all I'm saying is why you hating on the people who like it ?

First of all MLP let's people express their femininity, which strangely enough is vital for a heterosexual man, so the whole you watch MLP you must be gay argument is completely invalid. So you're saying that we should like a cartoon which was made solely for the purpose of selling useless shite to us ? And jumping on the bandwagon is perfectly acceptable, it's called the herd mentality (excuse the pun) and it's how humans have evolved, just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's not a good show, it actually puts out some pretty good messages, regardless if they're dumbed down for kids. And the character development is actually deeper than pokemon believe it or not. All I'm trying to say is, stop hating on something just because you don't like it, I bet you go around criticizing peoples music choices aswell. Don't be that guy.
