This debate will never end so here is my $0.02.
I own a Mac and a Pc.
My Mac is used for photo editing to an extreme amount because I dabble with being a photographer as a hobby and for use as a daily internet browser and such.
My Pc is used for gaming and multimedia.
Both are very powerful machines. One being a top end iMac 27' and the other is a Pc I built using 2 GTX 570 (full size HDMI version) using SLI, as an example of the quality of my gaming rig.
They both excel at what they are used for. I would never game on a Mac and likewise I wouldn't use my PC for photo and multimedia editing.
Morale of the story is that these debates are pointless and is like comparing a Land Rover and a Lamborghini and then becoming enraged that the Lamborghini isn't handling off road like a Land Rover would. There is no comparison and anyone who thinks so needs to investigate further until they realize otherwise.
TL;DR
You cannot compare them and doing so makes you a twat.

You're a brave person defending Mac products on FJ, and I applaud you for it. Just wanna throw it out there that there are decent equivalents to the Mac software for editing photo's (even GIMP, which is free, is pretty damn good as you can get custom plug ins, which usually means getting features from Photoshop). And for Final Cut Pro there's Sony Vegas 9/10 (which is easy as fuck to pirate).
Have a nice day

I realize that backing up Apple in anything is like sticking my dick in a bee hive.
I mainly use the Apple software and whatnot because
A: I get the software legitimately for free as a benefit of working for Apple.
B: I get the computers cheaper.
I don't really bother with other programs when I can get very impressive programs for free.
Cheers to you as well.

My mac cost 600 bucks and works perfectly. Plays all Valve games and the Cods that I want, ie cod 4. I would get battlefield but I already have it on PS3. I can game on my mac, but what I prefer is the iWork and the Mission control.
My mini has less memory and storage than the ones in the post but has the same graphics card and a dual processor, etc. Only cost 599$ and for extra memory I have a family hard disk with 24 tb so I won't run out anytime soon.

Ahh yes that is the newest version. The mid-2011. Brilliant design. Only a small fan is required for it. The entire body being made of aluminium is used as a heat sink radiating off head instead of damaging the internals.
Similar to the design of a 21.5" or 27" iMac. They appear to run hot but that is by brilliant design, not poor design.

I use PC for 3DS MAX, Maya, Softimage, VRAY rendering (and sometimes Maxwell/Indigo), After Effects, Photoshop, and Komplete Kontakt music studio.... Your point is invalidated.
The reason people think Mac is better at photoshop is because they have top of the line screens that aren't that common in the thousands of crappy monitors, and they are programmed so that they have almost PERFECT screen-to-paper coloring... It took me literally DAYS of configuration to get my PC like that, but now that it is, I have two monitors with the only benefit Macs have ever had...
tl;dr
The real comparison is that a Mac is a luxury cruise ship. It's absolutely gorgeous and all you have to do is sit back and relax. But it will only take you ONE specific place and very slowly... A PC is a flying destroyer with wheels and interstellar warp drives. You can put it on cruise control and it'll be pretty shitty and go wherever you want it to go. But if you really want to, you can read the manual and learn how to drive it and nothing in the damned universe can compare.
tl;dr THAT:
Quit being a lazy ass and read that.

some people, like my friend, bought a mac for gaming, and he wants to download or buy windows for it, which is pretty stupid if you ask me. that's the only thing i kinda don't like about him. oh god i hope he doesn't see this.

Going to have to respectfully disagree. You are comparing Hardware and Software. That is like comparing Baseball to french toast. Hardware wise they are exactly the same. Voltage depending on the manufacturing process. Software is a whole other story. OSX ML is great and everything but at 6,000 more im going to stick with pirated Win 7 Ult! Then again that is my 2cents.
