My happiness did not rise at all. It makes me feel incredibly unlucky because out of so many others, I was the one who ended up in this shit hole of a world, where people consider Justin Biebers hair being sold more important than exploring the vast expanse of the galaxy.
Countless wonders, experiences and cool shit awaits in the universe. And what do we do? Kill each other for no reason, mass genocide because of a few peoples ignorance, torturing people for something they couldn't control. So no, OP, don't tell me to be happy to be alive just because I was the one sperm out of 2 million to manage to make it.

And when a Christian asks me why I would continue living if there's "no higher purpose", or what keeps Atheists from committing crimes like murder and rape, this is what I tell them. Because this isn't even including the astronomical odds since the beginning of the universe and process of evolution that they deny, and it's because of this that I believe Atheists (and open minded religious folks) who follow this train of thought have a much stronger appreciation for life than those who believe it was specially crafted for them with no risks at all and will continue on for eternity regardless of what happens.
