The best part about Newt Gingrich saying he will lower gas prices, but forgets that its the oil companies job, not his. You got to love the idiots in politics

The president doesn't dictate the price of gas, but he can effect it more than he admits to.
When he says he can't lower gas he means he can't lower the price of gas without losing the environmentalists' support. He could list his ban on offshore drilling, approve the keystone pipeline or assist our domestic gas companies as China does theirs.
