Im sure you know everything about this but, have you ever thought maybe that 1 single person is in fact surrounded by assholes? Most of the guys at my school drink and act like fucktards at their 16th year of age, thought i do not diagnose everyone to be a fucktard, i simply take the people who listen to rap music about pot and fucking bitches and people who drink and treat women like shit all into one category. I agree with the concept everyone is different and the majority basically rules what we do and what we like but theres a point to where it get fucking stupid. Sorry if this is not relevent to anything you said, i am not trying to argue even though i seem like a ass here,

In my town, (liek many others) theres allways gonna be people liek that. and theres allways gonna be actual cool people who arent fucktards. But the thing that bothers me is that the people who are thought of as the "cool kids" are complete and utter morons. Some of them are ok but i cant stand the bragging show off douches who act like theytre amazing when in reality there a bunch of iditoic potheads who can barely manage a D in school. there only a small percentage, but i cant stand em. But besides them, I try to see the good in people, not the bad. I reccomend everyone to try that, its worth a try

It's like every other day somebody is mad at somebody else and wants to fight them T_T it gets really damn old, but some of that shit gets damn scary when there's a mentally unstable chick and her mentally unstable mom stop your bf or gf in the school parking lot and make threats =.= gets god damn old.

Yeah, I have lived here all my life, well, at least since I was a little less than a year old, we used to live closer to a bigger city, but the area was bad and close by there was a pretty good school, all inclusive elementary, junior high and high school. Its about an hour away from several colleges too.

I guess that has ups and downs. My dad was in the military and we moved with him a lot. Lived overseas even.
The small town I lived in before I graduated was 30 minutes from a major university, and 30 mins- 1 hour away from 4 other unis.

Thats one of the reasons I want to do good in high school and graduate with good grades and shit. I only have to work for 3 more years of high school, and then i never have to see any of these fuckers (besides my freinds, ill see them) again. for me, its worth the 14 years of bearing it from kindergarden to senior year.

Neat, I always wanted to draw stuff. My hand eye coordination is abysmal and nobody can read my hand writing :(.

I'm a psychology major with a biology minor. I'm thinking about some nueroscience stuff and if I start getting the hang of chemistry I may consider pharmacy. I'm not sure yet.

Yeah I'm taking 3 psych classes right now. Personality psych, Biopsychology, and Research. Personality is really fun and has a lot of discussion, because there are three million theories in the field. Biopsychology is pretty much nervous system biology. It's probably my favorite class this semester. The problem I have in there though is that our professor is german and hard to understand sometimes.

Research is probably one of the hardest undergrad courses out there, because there is lecture and lab. Lecture covers how to do an effective study and how to avoid problems that could screw it up. Lab? ...Lets just say you have to practically do your own study. We had to do a study that improves depth perception for Night Vision Goggles. Night Vision goggles kind of mess up your brain's depth perception indication, and it leads to a SHITLOAD of accidents in the military. Were talking about 50 million dollar accidents because a helicopter pilot couldn't measure a landing zone right because of bad depth perception with night vision goggles. We pretty much had to read 200 pages on the topic and write a 5 page scientific paper on it. It took me nearly a week to write it and 5 rough drafts. It's fucking brutal.

But yeah, I love psychology and nueroscience, but Research is the devil incarnate.

Yeah, I write long, I have my research class to thank for that T_T.

But yeah, it's good to know how you learn best, because a lot of professors use different styles and you have to adapt so you can learn better.

Ive allways wanted to persue a career in writing and/or history, but I cant see any profitable jobs involving the two things. I love history and writing and all that, i just dont see a good (and by good i mean well paying) job ro apply it in so im fucked.

ive also allways wanted to be part of video game/tv series design, but i cant voice act or draw/ program and code, but i want to give concept and story , except its kinda an uneeded job in most cases.

It's good that you are thinking about careers past college. I've seen a lot of people get into 40k+ in depth then have nothing out of it but a piece of paper saying they have a degree but no training. College is a HUGE investment and you have to think like an investor. The lower demand there is for a field, the more risk you are putting yourself in.

Take my step-brother. He wanted to major in theology but he hated college and dropped out and got a job at a gas company. He is making 20k+ at 19 years old and if he stays there and does training he can make 60k a year in 5-10 years. Trade school students are actually doing better than a lot of university students because of this.

Now I'm not saying that you should give up on the field. In fact you could be a part time writer and write a book and become the next Tolkein or C.S Lewis. I want to be a writer too but I am considering combining my psychology and biology and see if I could write a book on autism research. My nephew has autism and I work at an autism research center and I was actually wanting to conduct a study on their sympathetic system (it sounds scary but what I have in mind isn't that bad, my nephew seems perfectly fine with it.)

What other subjects are you good in? The great thing about the psychology field is that it has a perfect mix of science and art in it, but there are plenty of other fields as well.

and do explain, whats a sympathetic system, and how is autism effected by it.

well ive allways wanted to write for a magazine(s) and im pretty good with history, and i could allways do medical research, my fathers an orthopedist and i definately can (if i get a degree) take over the family business and run the orthopedics company later in life, as well as publish medical documents/research on there methods of treatment. The guys known on a national level so as long as i dont fuck up the business, id be able to keep a stable paycheck managing the business side of the place, while also writing as a secondary job.

My dad was a pharmacist in the military and worked for Air Combat Command at langely and he was the chief of pharmacy for a few years. He was pretty well known too but the problem is once you leave the military you don't have any civilian job experience. I mean sure he made good cash and served his country but owning a buisness in the medical field is about as financially stable as you can get.

Do you like science or anything? The thing about scientific writing is the better writer you are, the more places you can get published (along with a good study of course.) The best part about it is that history is actually a big fucking deal in research. The reason why is that you have to know the history of the field and how studies have been conducted in the past, and use that knowledge to make a new study. A lot of times when people finish their study they have a discussion page talking about future plans for research based on the data they collected. That's actually how our study in research went, we combined several studies conclusions and found a way to make a good training program for Night Vision Goggle users.

So yeah, history actually helps A LOT in this field.

im decent with science, doubt id be able to get a degree in it, but i can definately get a medical degree as well as business and the other requirements/ knowledge to run the business. because once his boss (my dad and himbasically run it) dies,as he is old, my dad will have to take over, and then it may end up my job if i choose to persue it. But its a well paying business, his boss has a fuckin lambo and a Mcmansion.
