Shouldn't women be able to do what they want to do? I mean feminists aren't stopping her be a stay at home wife are they?

Well she's got a point, during the Industrial Revolution women in lower class families didn't necessarily WANT to go to work in factories (or as we would call them today, sweatshops), they were FORCED to go work in factories just to make ends meet, meaning they had less to time to devote to their family and especially their children who usually grew up neglected and uneducated. But it gets worse, you know Karl Marx's famous statement "Religion is the opiate of the masses"? Well what this came from was the fact that women of the time had to devote so much of their time to work, but proper day cares and babysitters were unavailable, so often times women took their children to the factories with them and put them in basically a holding area until their shift was over. But to make sure they stayed calm and pacified the entire day, they gave their own children opium (a close relative of ****** ) then they left them in this cramped holding room with dozens of other doped up children (some even newborns) with no food, no care, and no one to even change their diapers. So in conclusion, the women who started the women's liberation movement were upper class, elitist women with no jobs, no responsibility, were completely oblivious to the ways of the world, and who had nothing better to occupy their time with.

What's so bad about enjoying cooking?
You know, in the old times, men were expected to know how to prepare the animals they killed.

I'm a dude, I wouldn't really mind just staying home and cooking. I kinda like cooking. Call me gay if you want... I'm just sayin... sounds kinda sweet.

I like cooking but I'm a girl. I don't want to stay home though I want to be in the armed forces. And actually for some women it wasn't sweet at all. Some would get abused physically and sexually technically we were like property

I know that feel bro - I have some strange baking powers, the first time I ever tried it I made the most delicious cupcakes that I've ever tasted (next to my Mom's godlike baking of course) - now I don't trust anyone's baking other than my mom's or my own

I don't cook very often, but whenever ever I do its pretty good. Everything is better when you make it yourself.
User avatar #49 to #32 - dashdashdash (03/27/2012) [-]
Exactly, For some reason whenever I make my own food, it tastes better.
I guess its because you actually had to move your ass and make it.

Women bitch and moan about wanting to be equal to men then say dumb **** like this? You can still sit on your lazy ass all day if you wish however if you want respect by any gender, get off your ass, get an education and a job. Then people will take you seriously.

what was his comment?
User avatar #24 to #21 - kaiizel (03/27/2012) [-]
Don't assume, that makes you ignorant.
I'm a female with 2 younger siblings, one of which has ADHD and my mother is a single parent so I do a hell of a lot of house work and childcare. I don't want to grow up sitting on my ass at home and doing chores. What life is that? And I also couldn't spend my partner's money, I'd feel guilty and useless.
Another thing; I don't give any one respect if all they don't have a job thus on benefits or complain about not being equal then complain about what past women have done for the future. (Which took years, a few died and got sent to jail. If you look it up). That also makes you look like an inconsiderate bitch. But hey, I'm not mad or anything.

=/ the reason OP posted this was because it's stupid. Someone seems a little butthurt.

>Chores do not take all day.
>You're putting words in my mouth. "Don't complain when other people tells say you should be in the kitchen." Stop making stuff up to make it seem like you are right.
>"Do you even know what the **** you're talking about? She was complaining that so-called "feminists" have made her life more difficult by convincing people like you that a woman who wants to dedicate her talents and efforts to the management of a household should be denigrated, disrespected, and considered less-than-human. And you're living proof that they've succeeded. " =| Are you ******* kidding me? I'm going to stop talking to you now, I don't want your stupidity to rub off.

My point actually was that you can do whatever you want, don't like feminist views? cool. Like feminist views, also cool.
I know a few women who have chosen to be house wives and I've never heard one of them complaining that people tell them they should be working.
At the end of the day its no one's business what you want to do with your own life, and its your own choice.
It's not fair to say that feminists should but out and not try to get rights just because you don't want them. When it really comes down to it those rights are there if you want them but no ones forcing you to take them if you don't want to.

As a femanon I agree with this. What is wrong with being at home cooking and cleaning? That would have been easy life. Feminists are idiots.

That's the reason why they don't have equal rights in the states. They didn't feel it was appropriate to allow women to be drafted in times of war. They were ONE state away from being equal to men in every aspect, then a senator brought up the fact that they would also have to be drafted like men (it was the early 70s, vietnam had just ended) and they dropped it. They didn't believe they had to make that involuntary sacrifice that men have to make in order to have the same rights, but whatever. My mom bawled her eyes out when she signed me up for the draft, but you know, I'm a guy, so my life means less than a woman's.

It is kind of retarded, now society expects women to get an education and join the rat race, and disapproves of the traditional stay at home mom.
The whole feminist movement was started by industries who discovered they could double their workforce. Stupid women wrongly believed they were subjugated and repressed by men, and somehow think getting a "real job" is some sort of liberation.
