When I was little I got a particularly bad strain of chicken pox and had to stay in the hospital for a long time because the sores got infected and I still have scars (most of them are white bumps the size of dimes now but some are still holes in the epidermis) all over my face and body. I freaking hate chicken pox.

If you get red bumps just go to the doctors
and make sure you do NOT take any pain killers unless you ask the doctor there will be complications with he drug and chicken pox

i didnt really care about the itching or being sick, but it spread in my mouth and down my throat, so everytime i swallowed(even air) it felt like death

Actually, here's a few problems with that line of thought;
1, going through it as a child, when your body recovers more quickly, is a good thing.
2, going through it as an adult, when your body doesn't recover as quickly, can kill you (this happens more than you think).
3, how is it abusive to give your child a day (or two) off from school and all they have to deal with is being itchy?
4, infections (such as chicken pox) that are relatively benign, can actually be a good thing, as this stimulates your body's natural defenses (what doesn't kill you actually does tend to make you stronger), causing your body to produce more white blood cells and more antibodies.
5, vaccines are good things, but not always, because there is always the chance that the "dead" bacteria that you get injected with (a vaccine is where they inject you with dead bacteria so that your body recognizes it, so when you get the infection your white blood cells already know what to do about it, instead of getting caught with their single celled pants down) will actually be live. Not to mention the chance of getting injected with a mutated strain, which might be worse for you than normal (this happens more than you would think).
6, antibiotics/antivirals aren't candy, hence why we don't hand them out like candy. The more you use an antibiotic/antiviral agent, the faster bacteria and the like become immune to them.

hey, it happens. part of that is genetics, and you have probably had other, relatively benign, infections over your life, perhaps some not so benign.

How ever, getting chickenpox later on in life can actually be deadly, not so much in first world nations where you have a greater chance of getting medical care before you kick the bucket, but there is still that risk.

antibiotic/antiviral...

antiviral

Do I need to make it bigger?

And, unknown to most people thanks to pharmaceutical company's adds, vaccines really haven't changed that much. In fact, the only thing that has changed is how they are made, and even then the techniques are basically the same.

In the end, the whole ideal is EXACTLY the same. You infect (yes, INFECT) someone with dead bacteria/virus and then the body knows what it is and can kill it, hence protecting you. How ever, ANY time you inject someone with "dead" virus/bacteria, there is the chance that some will be live/mutated, hence why good doctors will tell you that if you aren't old, way young, or have a ****** immune system to skip the flu vaccine, due to the risks of ANY vaccine.

herp a derp.

First of all the vaccine does not 100% prevent chicken pox, it reduces the chances of getting it and in case you actually get it, it reduces the symptoms to be more bearable.

I actually got chicken pox last year and I'm way older than the "supposed" age.

Is not as bad when you are a bit older, because you fully know you are supposed to avoid scratching and that the consecuenses are some ugly ass scars if you do. But is sure is one hell of an itchy week when you get hit by it, if you can stay on a bathtub most of the time, cold water helps a lot to relieve the itch.

It's actually better to get the chicken pox at a young age 'cause it can help build up and immunity so when you're older it isn't as dangerous, but i think that was back then, now we have better medicine and **** , i think
