Well a shot gun will definitively kill you, no question. Unless it just glances your head.
But a handgun is not so guaranteeing. A small caliber bullet, .22 for example, can hit the back of the skull and become embedded in the skull. Or a caliber up to .35 can just blow through the frontal lobes, but can still leave the person alive. It wasn't specific, it just said head.
But yea, 1.5 minutes is a bit of a stretch.

Oddly enough with a .22, if it does somehow manage to break through the skull it could lose the power to punch its way back out, but it could ricochet multiple times, INSIDE of the skull, causing lethal damage, by simply, ******* up your brain.

Drowning is a very violent death, your body struggles and it lashes around, often damaging itself in the process, (my father used to investigate things like this as a MP). It is one of the more violent was to go. Being burnt alive depends on the temperature of the fire, because if it is hot enough, it'll just burn away all of your nerve endings and you wouldn't be able to feel anything.

And that 'high' they felt is the brain slowly dying because of the C02 build up inside of the brain because they can't take enough oxygen in. In the case of drowning, because of the water all around you, the fire because of smoke inhalation.

Your primitive instinct kinda kicks in for survival, that's the same case for when your dying of hypothermia, you lose your extremities first. It's nice to have legs and arms, but their not necessary for survival.
Fear does help out too, it allows adrenaline to kick in early if you decide to fight it instead of just dying.
+ When you drown you often swallow your own tongue.

You wouldn't be aware of what was going on for more than a few milliseconds after you were hit, you would still be alive, you'd just be unconscious and your body would still be dying.

Maybe die as in every single bodily function stops, 100% dead? you're pretty much over after a bullet, but it takes a while until everything dies down.

Actually...
The Body works as a Closed Circuit.
You shoot the brain, and destroy it, you open the circuit, thus, causing instant dead to all your bodily functions.

Since the Body works on the electricity, handled by your nervous system, when you cut down power to the brain, everything dies.

The poster is just ****** up.

Well...
I am pretty sure that what you mean is right, as without nervous system no movement can be made, but a pumping heart won't stop right in it's tracks.

Either way, I am fairly certain that it wouldn't take as ******* long as in the poster...

Heart would keep beating for seconds not because it's still alive, but because it's a muscle, and muscle have involuntary spasms that manifest when the body has ceased Nervous Function.

It's actually pretty weird man, i've seen corpses sit in their deadslabs thanks to Rigor Mortis and tendon/ligament/muscle contraction.

I used to clean a Morgue... It was good money, but the place was awfully quiet.
You could almost smell sadness.

LOL I think it just means if you even feel anything it would be for a split second, hence low pain.

There was a story of this one guy who did take a shotgun blast to the face, arm and chest. Still survived. SO Im guessing they're counting that. However he said he couldnt feel or hear anything for awhile.

Sepuku is not preformed with a katana. It was usually done with a short blade, most of the time a tantō
