Sigh. These are quotes by people who commented on a post similar to what you said "ACTUALLY I was just reading a article a few days ago about how a cat signaled when it's owners sugar was dropping. It also had a few other stories about cats being trained to sense things. OBVIOUSLY they're not big enough to drag people. They also are more stubborn creatures, so are harder to train. However, with the statement about litter-boxes, almost all cats will go to use dirt or a litter-box to go to the bathroom with little to no training because it's what they would do in the wild (use dirt). So their not that stupid at all, they're just different creatures."
Another,
"I think the real scumbag here is OP.
A dog without training is no better than a cat.
You're comparing a dog that's spent it's entire life training for something, to a domesticated cat.

It's like comparing Justin Bieber to The Beatles.
Two completely different genres of music."

Dogs are smarter than cats - An Oxford University study.
Dogs are better hunters than cats - a Duke University study.

A cat detected it's owners sugar was low!! they have cancer detecting dogs that detect cancer before our medical technology can.

Dogs that are used as guide dogs take 3 months to train in their duties.
A cat may learn it's name in this time... may.
