But not everyone named Yeshua was like the jesus we worship. The roman records were pretty specific, as is usual for Romans, not to mention, there are other instances of archeological proof.
There is a carving by a roman soldier, which mockingly depicts the Peter mourning the crucifixion of "His God"

There were a lot of crackpot religions that started up. Jerusalem had plenty of people starting various cults and off-shoots of religions and I'm sure there was more than one guy named Peter in Jerusalem who mourned.

I always thought the point of faith was that it didn't matter if there was physical, historical evidence...

Besides, any person who has actually looked into it, knows that a man named Jesus who had, at one time, thousands of disciples really existed 2000 years ago. that much is fact.

I'm a bit skeptical about that kind of thing because throughout history (especially the 16th-19th centuries) some people made fake evidence for a lot of things, like the Shroud of Turin which was proven to be made FAR past the time of Jesus.

I'd just rather not worry about it and let people believe if they believe or don't believe if they don't.

It doesn't matter if it shows a negative portrayal or a positive one, it would be considered evidence. I like to keep an open mind for that kind of thing, but there have been way too many fakes for me to take most of that stuff seriously.

To be honest though, I can't beleive you don't know that Jesus is real, that isn't up for debate, anyone can tell you that the man himself was indeed real.

There's been debate about it for ages and debate will continue for ages to come. The fact is that there is not enough evidence to support the theory on evidence alone, objectively. However, if you feel that there is enough evidence to support the facts, then that is your business, because whether he existed or not does not really matter, at least in this life.

I do not believe that there is enough evidence to support the claims that there is either was a figure named Jesus, that there is even a God, or that there is an afterlife at all. However, I'm not going to outright deny that they exist and worry over the matter forever because I don't think it really matters. It's important that we make this life worth something because, from what it seems, this is probably all we have.
