It's hard to find a title
well, as I have written in the picture it's my great grandfathers artwork.
I don't expect any thumbs or anything, but I simply wanted to share it with someone.
Those of you who is = here looking for famiy stuff just skip this post
My great grandfather died 20 days ago because of cancer at the age of "
In my opinion he was a great artist.
ll wanted to show some of his work to someone, WMR most of his art
simply hung in his apartment, where no one ever saw them.
ll thought someone here might like his art as much as ll do.
I might upload mnore later as his apartment is emptied.
I don' t know when he painted these first three paintings. but he was an adult
by that time
He had written his age on the back of this drawing, am there was no date
He was 15 years old when he drew this
There is sadly a bit of water damage on this
There was no date nor age on this, but my grandmother told me about it.
He painted it when he was I years old, it was a gift for his sister

Your grandfather was probably depressed a lot, If I had to guess he wasn't happy doing what he does and he wished he could go back to when he was happy. The colors used express something of a yearning for simplicity as well as the common theme of travel, ie roads and the coast, a desire to leave his life for something he hoped was better than what he had.

Yeah, my uncle died the other day and he was 104, it was his time. I know how you feel and I'm sorry. Your grandpa was talented though, I dig his stuff.

My grandfather dies 3 yrs ago from cancer. It's still too hard for me to talk about him. I never knew my dad, he died before I was born when he was 19. My grandfather was my father and the greatest man who ever lived, in my eyes.

My uncle died a few days ago. He was in his fifties and his heart gave out, he wasn't an artist with pictures, but some of the stories he told... I will never forget them.
Needless to say, I know that feel bro.
