Well not all religions. I'm crazy about science and sometimes I doubt Noah's Ark. Or at least the whole, flooding the whole planet thing. Who says it holds back science and the medical field? My religion believes God to be the greatest scientist and mathematician.

And people like Galileo were punished by the church for their discoveries.

I think jesus had some great ideas, like turn the otehr cheek, love your enemie, and sell your welth and give to the poor. But i don't see very much of that today.
