Mayan calendar does not predict the end of the world which everyone so drastically assumes, the Mayan calendar resets much like our calendar year, the reason that it resets is because the Earth is passing through the Universal Equator on 12/ 21/ 2012 and begins a new cycle. The calendar resets because of this it doesn't matter what month/day/year we label it its simply the time in which we've completed a cycle.
