I'd say bad, now loads of shitty stuff will get waaay more thumbs than the old 'best overall' contents, the leader boards will get raped by newfags and comment levels will become obsolete.

We have cool script which is a thumb whore post as number 1 top overall picture. I don't think it will ruin any "best" overall conent.
