The atom bombs were also being invented by the Germans and Russians at the same time. The Americans just managed to finish it faster. We used them but it doesn't matter, other countries were going to make bombs like that regardless.
Also it was the Soviet Union not Russia.
It doesn't matter those bombs were going to be made regardless and in all honesty other countries (like Israel) have used similar bombs that had just as devastating effecs
