i'll argue it with you. you cannot prove a^2 + b^2 = c^2. it is widely accepted as truth because it has been perceived to work. but that's just it. it's a perception. we have no way of knowing that every possible variable in that equation actually represents something unfathomable to us which dictates the property it expresses. For example: 4^2 + 3^2 = 5^2. But we only believe this to be a truth because of the repetition of its application to yield the same result. but man is not the decider of truth, man is only able to exist in a reality based on perspective and observation. In order for us to survive, we need to believe in things, this is what we call reality, when it is actually just the scope of the dimensions that we are perceptible to. 4^2 could actually mean a 99th dimensional donkey running down an escalator. Now I cannot say that is true, but at the same time, you cannot say it isn't true just because you've never seen it happen. So by the same token, you cannot say that 4^2 +3^2 = 5^2 because of a property just because you have seen it happen. But as humans, we need to trust our observations in order to live in what we call reality.
