What country do you live in?
User avatar #47 to #46 - ilikeitrough (02/21/2012) [-]
America
User avatar #48 to #47 - donthepotato (02/21/2012) [-]
Now compare our rights and freedoms to any other nation on earth
You won't find any place like America unless you pretty much managed to clone America
It is the only remaining superpower in the world because we have a naval force that can enforce our national interests anywhere on this planet
Not to mention how well defended we are by such a small military
#132 to #48 - Crusader (02/21/2012) [-]
Canada, we pretty much traded all that military power for being known as such nice people that no one wants to fight us

Im sure. Honestly, I dont really care. I usually judge a place by its history, and americas is one of the most boring.

Personally the only reason why other countries hate the US is because we have some fat red necks that dropped out of school in the fourth grade. Thats only a very small portion of our population... But other than that we have a pretty cool background history seeing as we've only been here for around 200 years
User avatar #55 to #50 - donthepotato (02/21/2012) [-]
By the way you're part of the future of America so don't say that history isn't important.

Thos who don't know history ARE condemned to repeat it
User avatar #56 to #55 - ilikeitrough (02/21/2012) [-]
History is all I do, dude. Americas is really boring, though
User avatar #135 to #56 - Crusader (02/21/2012) [-]
WAIT WAIT WAIT
Let me get this straight, the USA, a country bathed in the glory and dirtiness of war, has a boring history?
This country can't go more than 30 fucking years without a war.
Revolution,
war with mexico (I don't know what It's called but it's the one with the Alamo, I'm pretty sure you guys were fighting the spanish from mexico)
Indian Wars
1812
Civil War
WWI
WWII
Korea
Vietnam
Gulf War
War on Terrorism
Cold War
I count 10 within the past 250 years
User avatar #138 to #135 - ilikeitrough (02/21/2012) [-]
ALSO im not the biggest fan of war. Its cultural background is awful. And it doesnt go back far enough.
User avatar #141 to #138 - Crusader (02/21/2012) [-]
LOL at "culture"
The USA doesn't have a culture, if anything your culture is dismantling cultures, you guys are like a giant ore smelter, you get a bunch of shit put it together and turn everything into the exact same thing.
Take Canada, we are more like a salad where people come over show their culture, share it but are still individuals you have different cultures than each other.
Then there's mexico that is like a medley of historic spanish culture and native culture.

SPanish american war, that is the one that I was trying to think of.

Japan, Russia, and greece have the best history and culture. If you ask me.
User avatar #57 to #56 - donthepotato (02/21/2012) [-]
Just learn from the past so the nation isn't screwed over by our generation
User avatar #59 to #57 - ilikeitrough (02/21/2012) [-]
Whatever. Its just not interesting.
User avatar #60 to #59 - donthepotato (02/21/2012) [-]
Thank you for having this civilized conversation with me, I don't find many people who won't call me a homosexual for supporting America
User avatar #62 to #60 - ilikeitrough (02/21/2012) [-]
Well, Im gay, so...
User avatar #64 to #62 - donthepotato (02/21/2012) [-]
Good for you
User avatar #53 to #50 - donthepotato (02/21/2012) [-]
Really? We created a nation from scratch with a majority of our own principals. We created a bill of rights so the people would not be treated unfairly like they were under a king who ruled from across an ocean. People were only treated wrongly when the leaders became corrupt.
User avatar #54 to #53 - ilikeitrough (02/21/2012) [-]
To me...well, I dont really care. It all seems kinda stupid, and its hard to explain. America has always seemed greedy to me. So do all the other nations, sort of. then theres the wars, and that just pisses me off. Not just america, I know, but seriously, then theres the obesity problem, and that makes me even angrier, and the leaders, I really wish they could spend a day poor as heck and then see how'd they run things afterwards. It was all okay to begin with, but things have gone [pretty down hill since then
#94 to #54 - N. Korean citizen (02/21/2012) [-]
America isn't greedy. Humanity is naturally greedy. It's the instinct to be on top, to be the alpha male, so we all leave the rest in the dust to pursue our personal will to survive.
