True rebels always walk alone, anyways.
What is a rebel? Someone who doesn't abide useless, redundant rules? Someone who strives for change via unorthodox ways? Someone who wants a better present / future and works for it?
That doesn't sound much like a Rebel, it sounds more like a person with common sense.
I would (I do) the same, i mean, we live in a society that tells you "Don't get raped" instead of "Don't rape"...
What happened? People became confortable with a system that is ok with a "Don't ask, don't tell" policy.
Not only we are being educated to obey silently, but we feel that that's the right thing to do... Therefore, we push down those who actually try and speak up.
But shit, what would i know, i'm just an Anon.

Well fuck it here I go. Everyone in their day and age has raved about the generation/decade that preceded them. Mainstream has always sucked, no matter what decade. Occasionally you get legends that break through and mark a generation/decade. Sometimes you don't.
We have the Foo Fighters, others had Elvis, The Beatles, ACDC,, so forth and so on.
In regards to education, that is completely false. More and more people are getting degrees and going to college. Students (at least here in America) since 1990 have been taking 20% more honors courses and attendance is actually at record breaking levels.
Stupid people don't sporadically sprout up just because decades changed. They have been there for each one. Hindsight has that crippling defect which is we only see the good and forget the bad. Personally I'm tired of all these garbage posts whining about the present. Enjoy it before it becomes the next decade everyone wished they were in.
