I also appreciate that school gives us a purpose. Something to do with ourselves instead of sitting around and being useless. And it's fun. There are people my age to talk to and some really awesome teachers.

But I still don't want to do that pre-calc homework. But I will. Because it'd be stupid not to.

I was always grounded when I was growing up, but my parents were very strict.

It's a hard knock life. I always feel bad because a lot of my friends have really strict parents. My friend Mel's parents wouldn't let her go to homecoming because they thought she'd get raped and they'd have to support a rape baby. We live in a middle class suburban neighborhood. People are so dumb.

The fuck? Ever heard of abortions or contraceptives such as the morning after pill? Or even a fucking chastity belt or pepper spray?
My parents are strict to look after me. I was never allowed to go to parties cause mum was scared I'd get attacked or some shit. I get yelled at if I sleep in cause they don't want me to be lazy. As much as I hated it when I was younger, now I can see it's only cause they care.

And Mel's a good kid, too.

My parents care a lot and do what they have to to keep me out of trouble, but they raised me right so it doesn't take much effort. I can say, "Hey, mom, I'm walking to my friend's house. Be back later." and she'll trust me not to get into shit. Plus, I always keep my phone on me.

I got grounded for being home at 6.10 and my curfew was 6.
That's one incident I've never been able to justify.
Mum trusts me now, she even lets me take my little brother to parties with me.

I don't have a curfew.... My best friend lives 3 streets over, so I just walk home from her house around midnight when her parents decide to go to bed. In the summer, my other friend and I just like to walk around the neighborhood in the middle of the night.

I don't think my parents know the meaning of "strict."

I slept over another friend's house on New Year's. At 7PM the next day, no one in her family said anything about me leaving and no one in my family contacted me at all. Eventually, I was like, "Well... I suppose I should go home soon." Her mom said, "Oh.... Yeah, I guess if you want to. There's no rush, really. We've got all weekend."

That's so cool, but that's what my brothers like.
I have these friends who are siblings and they have gatherings for drinks every weekend and over the christmas/summer holidays (Aus is strange) My brother stayed there for probably a total of 4 out of 6 weeks.
