To be honest, I've played Dead Space 2, and the only thing I found even remotely scary was the jump scares, and most of the time you could see them coming anyway. The rest was just overly gory and grotesque.

Amnesia offers the same, just without weapons. In dead space you get a weapon and you can defend yourself. Which means that 70% of the fright is gone. Here you don't have that choice. You're always the pray. That makes it alot more frightening.

Both are good anyways.
