I thought my uncle was the only one to give someone MGS (2). I never beat the second level though, 6yo with sleep darts suck.

Hmmm, jee this sounds deceptively alike to an earlier post I saw, one about Star Fox and a child's dead dad? Lets see here, young boy who whos favorite game is due to an older male's influence early in life? check. Child doesnt not or cannot play favorite game for a while, check. Previously mentioned adult male leaves kid's life? check. The kid then goes back to playing his favorite game, bringing back many memories of his childhood with said male? check. makes a post about it on funnyjunk that isnt funny and says its all for the "feelz", check. awesome, my story's about the same. when igot a ps3 and mgs4 i stayed up 2 days straight playing it. i just recently got the HD collection with mgs2, mgs3, and mgs Peace Walker formatted for the ps3...unfortunately the metal gear online for mgs4 is ending in june...when i saw that my heart broke

I know this sounds mildly retarded but somewhat relevant..

When i was a kid, my brothers and I used to play my N64 a lot... we played Goldeneye a lot on the weekends and played multiplayer and other shit like took turn on missions and shit.
Now I loved the mission Facility, and loved it so much I would play it every day.
After by brothers all left my house, I was alone for a bit.. My other friends never came over cause my dad was really scary... I eventually packed it in and moved onto other games, never touching Goldeneye ever again

Until Recently...
My Mom found it, packed away in this Pokemon backpack I didn't wanna ruin by taking it to school, I stowed my cards, pogs (yes pogs), my drawings and Goldeneye, along with the console.
I cried.. and played Facility like clockwork.. it all came back..
I was so overjoyed and I beat the whole game on Secret Agent that day, and then finally beat the Water Temple on Zelda Oot...
I was 10... Im now 19 in college...
That feeling of nostalgia just rushed over me and I choked up...
As I remember the memories of young me playing, I look at my brothers and how happy we were... now we are distant, living lives and other things..

But I think its time to make some new memories in this game..

I prefer the PS1 version more then Ps3 one....

The final battle of MGS4 between Ocelot and Snake is probably the single most epic boss fight in all of video gaming.
