If you follow the Bible literally yes, however very few Christians do so. Christians that tend to hog the spot light of every new channel.
Honestly what you will find today in a regular Christian society today is the Bible being more seen as a guide book to make their beliefs in God stronger and an overall improvement of their lives.
How does killing thousands of people make it better? Well it is the idea of God's power. It's not about the numbers, but His infinite power to vanquish the enemies of those who give him their faith. Not meant to be taken literally, because you have to remember it is people of a culture thousands of years old. This is how God is depicted. God did not change necessarily, people have.

actually using the lowest estimations, Nazi Germany killed 27 million ish people in their 6 years of existence.
Though my counting on the American side was flawed in that I only counted casualties (civilian and military) on the enemies side, assuming they WERE ALL killed by amerifats, doesn't include their allies..
so for example: the 21 million dead at amerifat hands gives all of England's kills to America.
