this says, that X360 has better graphs than PS3, but it really depends on a tv. with a same tv, they have the same graphs

I play that game in console, I love playing game in console. I know a computer can have better graphics, but... I admit that i'm too dumb and lazy to fix every error that I get for playing any pirate game I got. So for me, I go with consoles, even that I find more confortable playing shooter with consoles control.
But obviously PC is better than Ps3 and 360.

Skryim's graphics are subpar anyway.

Lol really? I play the PC version on maximum settings (without modifications) and it pretty much looks exactly the same as 360/PS3 with a higher framerate. If framerates turn you on, then you need to sort out your priorities.
But then of course, there's the mods. The beautiful, beautiful mods.
But then of course, there's the mods. The beautiful, beautiful mods.
We got everything.
We can even change the controls to be configured to a controller.
Only thing consoles have running for them is money, but then again my high end pc only cost me $700 to build, and plus there's piracy which easily makes up for the money spent building the game. Mind you, I didn't pirate skyrim, SR3, and a bunch of other kick ass games, but I did pirate single player games that I owned before, along with others. I more of do a "test run" for a day of a game, and if I don't like it, I just stop playing it and delete it. Only game I've actually legitimately pirated and played all the way through is The Witcher 2, and I'm going to buy the enhanced version when it comes out for the 360 because of how much I enjoyed playing it on the PC.

Skyrim looks the same as the pc version on ultra when you play it on the xbox 360 with an hdmi cable...
inb4 all the PC gamers decide to start talking about how they think they're Gods- oh sonofabitch, I'm too late...

um...their almost exactly the same...don't go shitting yer pants over the ported up PC version. I own it, i played it side by side my bros 360 version, almost the exact same. If you want real graphics, look at battlefield.
Everyone's talking about graphics, I don't give a fuck about a games graphics as long as the game itself is good. Good graphics are just a bonus.
is it cheaper to build my own PC for gaming or should i just buy one?

I built my own 3 years ago.
Here's my specs:
AMD Phenom II x4 965 Black 3.40 Ghz @ 125 Watts with Cooler Master V10 CPU cooler
MSI NF980-G65 Motherboard, NVidia chipset, tri-sli capable
8GB G-Skill RAM 4 x 2GB @ 1333MHz, Dual-Channel, 8-8-8-21
EVGA GeForce 550 Ti SC - $150 right now (upgraded to this from my old 9800 GTX+)
Western Digital Caviar Green, 2TB SATA-3G HDD (No, I don't have an SSD, If I get one, it will become my Steam folder, nothing more)
XION PowerReal ATX 1000 watt Power Supply (it was on sale, so I spent 25 bucks more on a 3-year warranty extension for it, in case it sucked, hasn't failed me yet, though)
HAF 932 AMD Limited Edition case ATX, 7 expansion slots (picture)
Win 7 Professional 64-bit (got from skewl fer free!)
After upgrading my RAM twice from original (shipped defective, didn't wait, went out and bought $100 worth more to get this thing up and running, then another $100 when I upgraded the last time, doubled the amount of RAM I had), and adding a new graphics card (add $150), then getting the CPU Fan upgrade ($125 more) , as well as spending an extra hundred for the LE case, I am at around $1575 / £1001.
To anyone building their own systems, I reccommend either a 9800 GTX+ in SLI (Fucking monsters, those 9800's are, as good as the 550 Ti's are) configuration, or a 550 Ti (factory overclocked), or better, if you want at least decent graphics.

The thing about PSUs is that you can use them on ANY system you can fit them into.
I planned ahead, that way as I add more things to my system, I don't need to worry about getting a bigger PSU, not for a while, at least.
I also chose the V10 for extra cooling for my CPU, as it is currently running stock heatsink, I like the fact that it has red LEDs in the fans. It is this reason that I decided to spend an extra hundred dollars on the case, because of all the red it has.

A quality 750W will be good enough to SLI most of what is on the market today. I haven't checked the 7950's power consumption, but it'll handle one OC'ed to hell. I just felt that the V10, which has scored lower than cheaper heatsink would be a foolish buy, but if you bought it for the looks... I don't mind.
True enough, but like I said, if my system gets far too outdated, I can always keep the PSU, and move it into a new system. When I bought it, it was on sale for $100, and most of the 1kw PSU's were up around $200, so I was like, get one that I can use for a LONG damn time if it can stand up to it.
As for the fan, I bought it to upgrade from the stock fan, but I wanted more red on my computer, so I got a big, red monstrous fan.
As far as HDDs go, I got the WD on sale as well, and I wanted lots of storage space. As time goes on, I will likely just get a 500GB SSD dedicated to all my games, and leave everything else on the 2TB. Beyond that, I'll probably get a 3TB and use it as a backup drive. I'd like to add a Blu-Ray drive to this thing, as well, but that's not high on my priority list. I'd more likely get a pair of 580's and SLI them before I got a BRD.

Yes, it came with a one year warranty, and I spent 25 bucks more on a 3-year extension for it. I'm definitely happy with it right now, but I like improving on it, making it more powerful, or more red, either way works for me.
Also, I decided to go with the V10 for one other small reason, I've not OC'ed this monster, and don't really intend to, that's why I got the more powerful parts (they were brand new when I got them, so don't tell me there's better ones, because I already know that there are, this is more for someone else who may bitch about it, and not you directly razorr) otherwise, I'd have gone with a liquid cooling system.

buy from ecocollegepc, they let you build it with the parts you choose and they send it to you pre built just like if you were buying it from a retail store. I think its free shipping also. I built a good gaming pc there for about 800-900 USD.
no problem. I only know that having done it XD Also, I would recomend AMD products. Just as good but a damn sight cheaper. I have an AMD Phenom II x6 Black edition @3.6GHz.n Pretty damn fast, amnd a six core =D
My processor: £141 / $200-250 (not too sure as they might deviate, mine was cheap as hell when I bought it)
equivalent Intel CPU: Anywhere between £400-600+ / $750-1000
Where abouts in the world are you?

Six cores aren't worth it yet, since very few games can actually make any use of them. And you shouldn't compare proccessors only with their clock speeds. A better idea is to check some tests, where you can see how good your CPU actually is in games, and I'm sure that's the only thing that matters.
AMD products are better for cheaper computers, and Intel is better for mid and high tier computers.
And I'm pretty sure that an Intel CPU with results similiar to yours would cost MUCH less than you stated.
By the way, I'm using AMD Phenom II x4 965 BE, and it's fine, but if I'd had more money when buying this PC, I'd have bought Intel's i5.

Well, that's pretty much what I said. AMD is cool for cheaper computers.
But I'm going to disagree about Intel being expensive. Yeah, their high-end CPU's are really expensive (and IMO those aren't worth the price), but they have pretty good mid-tier CPU's, such as i5, which I mentioned.
And as for the lower comment, 3.2 GHz AMD CPU isn't equal to 3.2 GHz Intel CPU. And in terms of gaming performance, a 4-core i5 would do as good as the 6-core AMD CPU you mentioned, if not better.
Well, talking like this doesn't bring us anywhere, I suggest looking for gaming performance comparisons online before buying anything. That's how I got my Phenom, which was one of the best processors for my budget.

The cheapest I can find it at is £170, its a quad core compared to a 6-core, and can only be clocked to 3.7Ghz. The CPU I have, (the one that cost me £141) is designed to be overclocked, and wiith a watercooler, can reach 4.2Ghz without any issues. I even read that a guy submerged one in transmission fluid and clocked to almost 7Ghz
Not acording to this tinyurl.com/6evefwf
And I'm not claiming to be an expert. Watercooling is a good idea when doing any overclocking. Watercooled @ 4.2Ghz keeps is cold quite. Too much overclocking causes overheatin.
Now leave me alone. I'm sorry that my PC is so shit compared to yours. 1. Its my first build, and I reckon I've done a fine good job. 2. I'm clearly not as rich you, or I would have spent the money on an i7. but college doenst pay much. 3. I don't care if you can find better partsfor the same money, Its clearly too late.
Phew... Right, I'm out

Woooooooooow, chill down a bit. For gaming, you wont need more than max 4 cores, and if you check this benchmark (scroll down to see games), you can see that Intel DESTROYS amd when it comes to fps (http://ww w.anandtech. com/bench/ Product/288?vs=203)
For example:
World of Warcraft: Intel: 120 fps, amd: 77 fps
Left 4 dead: Intel: 143 fps, amd: 127 fps
Equalient intel cpu 400-600£? thefuck, you get a BETTER one for the same price!

My recommandation: Intel i5 2500k, good for overclocking, one of the BEST for gaming! :)

Find a pc forum of any kind, and ask them. Give them a budget.
How about giving me a budget? I know a dude that knows PC's a lot, and he could probably set up the best one for the buck. (Reason I don't want to do it is that I have no idea what the prices are for amerifats, or britfat people for that matter.)

I'm not familiar with American prizing of components and what stores are the best and so on (also been a while since I last checked out CPU performance charts) so I suggest you check out Tom's Hardware, great site with lots of comparisons between different components and lots of useful tips. The articles Best Gaming CPUs For The Money and Best Graphics Cards For The Money should be useful and they also have a good forum.
I think it's better that way as I don't know what preferences you have. Some people have no trouble paying $300 for a computer case while some think $100 is way to much and so on. Although I can recommend you not to be cheap and buy things you won't feel 100% happy with. I bought a cheap case for my first computer first but later felt it was a bad decision and bought a better chassis, meaning I pretty much throw away the $100 the first one cost.

The only thing I care about is how good it can run the games and other processes (videos, music, internet, etc). I don't really care for how good the exterior looks, as long as everything fits and it gets the job done lol. If you want to know my preferences, I can give you a list :D
The components in the article is definitely a good start www.sweclockers.com/artikel...
It's in Swedish but well you can see the name of the components at least... :P
I would recommend buying GTX 570 instead of 560 though and chassis doesn't really matter that much as long as it can fit the components (Fractal Design is not available in America I think, if it is I recommend the R3). Motherboard is also entirely up what connectors you need and if you're going to be using several graphics card and overclocking in the future. Oh and I almost forgot, if you're going to have games/operating system on a hard drive do NOT buy a 5400 rpm drive. I recommend Samsung's Spinpoint drives or Western Digital Black.

1. Bottlenecking means that one or more of the computers components does not perform 100% because the pc is only as fast as it's slowest part. For example, it does not make sense to buy the best graphics card in the world if your processor is to slow for games.
2. You don't use an SSD is not used for storing files. You buy a hard drive as well.
3. Even if the HD 5670 was "perfectly capable" (this depends on what performance requirements you have) it still does not make any sense buying a 2 years old graphics card.
