Ikr? they barely even show her ear piercings any more. The progression of the characters is on of the main reasons I like webcomics; you can look back and have a nostalgiagasm.

I look at the old comics (like, the first 10 or so, then look at the new once, and am amazed at Jeph's artistic progress. Like, you don't notice it really just reading them, but once you do that, you will.
