Did you hear?

Soldier here. I want to say that Id rather not hear about my comrades deaths on the news all the time, because when I hear reports like " 2 US soldiers killed by roadside bomb today" it makes me stop and think about my friends who are currently in harms way and wonder. To me theyre not just a face in a uniform, but someone I might have known. I dont need any more reasons to worry about my friends. I value their sacrifices more than I can tell you all, but hearing those reports can sometimes be very unsettling.

Okay, it's a sad truth that this happens in this world, but this has been posted so many fucking times, in different versions depending on who died. The sad truth is that this is most American's, but posting it 40 fucking times over again about the same thing isn't necessary, but, I digress, it still is important.

The news covers NEW events.

I understand the importance of our troops in the middle east, but imagine;

Instead of seeing pop culture and maybe some other decent stories, imagine all you see on the sees is "U.S. Troops Encounter IED on Roadside; 23 killed" everyday.

That would get fucking depressing.

This kind of stuff is a little overused, but I would've forgiven it if it had some special umph. Sadly, it didn't.

Why is it every time someone famous dies. Someone always gets to the front page with . Every ones talking about "insert famous name" died but no one is thinking about soldiers. Yes we know. Its old and its the world we live in now stop toenail clipping whoring!

umm its on the 5, 6 and 6:30 news... i grow weary of seeing it day after day, oh 200 troops died today, oh another 50 are dead and or seriously injured... personally i dont think the media should exist it does nothing really except propetuate the info the governement allows them to show.
