It would be redundant to start protests against a treaty/agreement when it hasn't even been decided how the government is going to categorize it. The only reason there are so many demonstrations over there is because it has already been passed in many Western European countries.

It would make sense for them to be ahead of everyone else in protest if the problem started in their country, correct?

Also, since when is Europe considered communist by anyone who isn't from the 50's?
