I'm probably going to sound like a retard here but, alcohol isn't a drug? I know it fucks up lives and all that, so it's worse than most drugs, but everyone I know classes alcohol and drugs as two different things...

Saying alcohol is a drug, is like saying oxygen is a drug.

I don't care if people smoke, but in my dorm I've seen one person quit school because of alcohol, and countless people have quit school because of excessive use of cannabis.

In the widest definition everything is basically a drug, but I do not deny that you can develop a dependence on alcohol. I'm just tired of people justifying their smoking habits with the omnipresent dangers of alcohol.
