This brave soul I know in my Cullinary 250.1 class has taken a bet with some bitch who thinks twilight is far better than anything that has ink on a page, so she started bitching up a storm when he said stephen king makes some really great novels. She bet him that he will change his mind after reading them and he sealed that bet if she read stephen king. The brave soul is already on the third book, and he says it utter garbage and wayyyyyyyyy to predictable. She said the stephen king books are "too long and the words are all hard to understand and there is too much horror". I salute him for his sacrifice in trying to show her the light.

Oi, I've been reading Fellowship of the Ring on and off for like 6 months now, and I'm still not done. It's a great series, but a tough read. Especially when they sit around talking about a lot of irrelevant details and places for 30 pages at a time.
