Girls just share more of their thoughts and the thing you get then is that most people (in this case their girlfriends) try to cheer people up by making the 'loss' seem not such a big loss anyways; 'He's an asshole anyways, you're better off without him.'
Must say that it happened to me too once, but shit happens. :) Just continue being awesome and proof that bitch or asshole wrong. ;)
