What if instead of his shirt becoming pink from all the other clothes, a little fairy cryo-froze himself within the detergent bottle. When pouring into the wash, the cycle released him from his slumber. Since the fairy was asleep for YEARS, he's missed quite a bit of periods (male fairies have a vagina and uterus) and bled all over the shirt. Maybe that's why it's pink....
