I haven't played the mass effect series... Should I get all 3 when the third comes out?

Here's my recommendation
1. Buy ME1 Game of The Year Edition
Have 3 playthroughs 1 renegade (bad) 1 paragon (good) and you're personal one
Do everything possible to get a full experience
2. Buy ME2 with all DLC involving missions, weapons and the Cerberus network
Once again do everything and save everyone
3. Buy ME3 Collector's edition
Watch as your universe that you personally created wraps up in a gorgeous finale
4.???
5. Profit

No you shouldn't, you should go get 1 and 2 right now.

Get the first two as soon as possible! then you can transfer your save files from those games into the third game for one, big, epic ending.

Unless you want a fully customized Mass Effect experience where all the choices are made by you, there's no reason why you should buy 1 and 2 to play 3. ME3 should explain the events of ME1 and ME2 from what I've heard.

nah dude your actions are transposable to the third one, that's why it's really important you keep your character profiles.

now let me go back to those calibrations...

i don't know about the second one, but for the first, there's a generator that just skips to all the decisionmaking parts of the game and generates a savefile from it..

but i still suggest buying the first two games and playing them..
though i spent like a solid week finishing the first, i just had to replay it when the second one came out for the save..

after i played it through the second time, i found the generator...
irony...

:( sucks. There are ways to torrent console games, though. You download the iso for your console and then put it on a DVD. Ive done it with a few games.
