thats not irony, irony is the opposite event occuring of what you expect. the use of words to convey a meaning that is the opposite of its literal meaning: the irony of her reply, “How nice!” when I said I had to work all weekend.

irony involving a situation in which actions have an effect that is opposite from what was intended, so that the outcome is contrary to what was expected. how again is it ironic? its funny i will say that though.
