They do indeed regenerate. Your information is outdated

Goddamn i hate how scientific facts get bastardized into urban myths. Brain cells grow back. Alzheimer's is not caused by a lack of brain cells. It's caused by a gradual deposit of amyloid beta fibrils that form senile plaques as well as phosphorylated tau proteins that disrupt microtubule formation in neurons. This causes the neurons to degrade more easily. In addition, as postulated by Penrose and Hameroff, microtubules are implicated in conferring consciousness upon us, thus the characteristic dementia.

Patients with Alzheimer's regenerate brain cells, it's just that they regenerate shitty ones.

I bet this anon is lying but used a whole bunch of large words to make us believe him.

you can't just assume that an anon posting a comment is lying and full of shit because he hasn't made, or is too lazy to log into his funnyjunk account. and if you really think that, congratulations you're whats wrong with the world. maybe he really is getting his masters degree and just hasn't made a funnyjunk account, because you know, thats not possible or anything.

or maybe this anon is getting his master's degree in biochemistry and knows Roger Penrose and Stuart Hameroff. Then again, according to Ockham's razor I probably looked at wikipedia
