The reason why Ron Paul is against, is to get more voters.

I'm just gonna throw in my two cents here:

Fox news doesn't have any corporate interest ties to Mitt Romney, he is just getting their support because Fox News largely supports conservatives, and they think he has the best chance against Obama. However, they also support Gingrich.

CNN doesn't really support New Gingrich, as a whole at least. They're more diverse politically. As strange as it sounds, they have shown both conservative bias (though not as much as Fox News) and some liberal bias (though not as much as places like MSNBC). If anyone saw the debate the other day, the CNN moderator opened by bringing up Newt Gingrich's affair. (and Fox defended him today).

And now on the subject of Ron Paul. He's a libertarian, so he believes in very little government involvement. And while I know that if he was elected, he would never infringe on our rights (he would definitely veto bills like SOPA), I just think that his laissez-faire policy won't bring us out of this recession. The bottom line is, I think he wouldn't fix the problem we have now, but he definitely wouldn't make it worse.

I really wish we could just get an amazing president who would fix our country. Obama is definitely not that president, and I don't know who would be.

look up videos on the gold standard and youll see how he can fix the economy and fuck the msm they hate the internet because they know we arent sheeple

he doesn't have the funding, the media behind him, or the popularity of his competitors. the only two who can oppose him are Gingrich and Romney (Santorum is a batshit reactionary who'd push the moderates towards obama). So, between these two, you can either get Romney who is the moderate, or Gingrich, who will also end up going towards the middle if he becomes the republican candidate, but not to Romney's extent.

In other words, Romney wouldn't support it for fear of the massive backlash, and Gingrich wouldn't either for the same exact reason.

Nuff said.

Ron Paul has grassroots we raise more than the other candidates the other candidates get large donations from one person upwards to a couple million or even billion then they try to hide it RON PAUL 2012

I hate SOPA, but I wouldn't vote for Ron Paul. You've seen peoples' reactions. Nobody likes SOPA. I don't think it could work under any candidate. Ron Paul maybe against SOPA, but he's also against any government at all. Also, I thought that putting the picture of the swimsuit models at the bottom ruined your credibility.

Ron paul cant win, he doesnt have the money if he goes against obama.

This is probably what will happen.

Mitt Romney is the republican candidate for presidency

Ron Paul like always will run as an Independent once he loses to Mitt Romney

This is when Obama Multibillion campaign will not only run ads for Obama but for Ron Paul too.

Ron Paul wins enough votes in key swing states to tip the side for Obama

Obama has another four years to rack up his spending.

I would vote for him, but he doesn't believe in the separation of church and state :/

Yes he does, Its in the Establishment clause of the Constitution and Ron Paul is a constitutionalist and he supported an extra amendment allowing kids to pray in schools by themselves but again specifying that no prayer can be established. Your not gonna find a better candidate.

That letter was written in 1996 as a smear campaign and it has no clear evidence of him writing it, he also denied it on live television. His debates and polices back in the late 1970's and 80's completely contradict what the letter says.

The same letter has been brought up before before he ran for president and has been used against him. Its a smear campaign and nothing more.

No he's not. Would you like to have a legitimate discussion about this or should I just ignore you because you put your opinion on the internet?
User avatar #749 to #736 - dracosjaws (01/21/2012) [-]
Doesn't matter. Too many people wouldn't let him do anything even if he tryed.

The thing about Ron Paul is that I agree with him on many fiscal issues, but to be honest his foreign policy stances scare the shit out of me. I think he's too soft on Iran, judging by the fact that he pretty much said it wouldn't matter if Iran got a nuke. That being said, I'd certainly vote for him over Obama. At this point I'd vote for a pile of rocks over Obama.

You have no idea what foreign policy is about do you... they want defense because we have 45 mother fucking bases around them with guns and missiles pointed towards their land dont you think youd want to be able to protect yourself?
User avatar #756 to #722 - darkinin (01/21/2012) [-]
In one of the recent debates he actually corrected that misstatement. He cares very much about Iran getting a weapon, but he believes that undeclared wars, sought after by the sitting president whenever he pleases, are not the proper method.

He would rather try diplomatic channels, and then if the congress would actually vote for a war, the way it's supposed to be done, well, then war happens.
User avatar #709 - TrevorNorris (01/21/2012) [-]
I'm turning 18 in exactly 2 weeks, you can all bet your asses, I'm voting for Ron Paul.

Although Romney is probably going to win the presidential election, I'm fighting for you guys.

Personally, I believe that the US would be fine if either Newt or Paul were elected. My problem with Newt is that he has the charisma of a rock, and Ron Paul has a very odd foreign policy. Newt is by far the most intelligent of all the Republican candidates, but Paul has a great stance on personal liberties. I just hope either of them get in.

Just my two cents.
#839 to #707 - anonymous (03/08/2012) [-]
newt is a big government meddler and flip flopper just like mitt romney its ron paul or no one
#771 to #707 - sleepingriver (01/21/2012) [-]
Also what I like about Newt is his foreign policy and his experience in Govt, created 30million plus jobs during the 80's and 90's, out of all the candidates he is most likely to get the Senate and Congress to work together.

I need to bitch to people over the internet about it."
This is not fucking Bitchyjunk, this is Funnyjunk! A site that used to be funny......

But if we just sat there and did nothing it would pass.
User avatar #696 - epicquestgirl (01/21/2012) [-]
Posts for Ron Paul make me happy. Our government is corrupt to the point where they fake national disasters (9/11), worship the devil (Bohemian Grove), and much more (FEMA Camps, Goldman-Sachs aka Government Sachs, NDAA, SOPA/PIPA). We need Ron Paul, the only candidate who stands up to the corruption, which is why no media outlets will cover him. He is the only chance for our country to survive as a democracy. Please vote for him. America needs Ron Paul.
If you don't believe my accusations about government corruption, look it up and listen to Alex Jones on satellite radio, a brilliant man who seeks to expose the government for what it really is. He also has documentaries out. Watch them and be changed.
And to broseff, thank you for this post. You give me hope.
