why does this give you hope ? because a girl was born with a defect and then got a prosthetic put in so she could fit in ?

its so sweet !!!!..

What is sweet here? An operation? I don't see the sweet in it. Maybe if the doctor did it out of the kindness of his heart, but he gets paid for doing his job..... so all I'm getting out of this is you find it sweet that a girl needs an implant ear to replace the one she is missing. Sounds a little sick to me.
User avatar #9 to #8 - dogsbane **User deleted account** (01/15/2012) [-]
hmmm perhaps I fail to see something but wouldn't it be sweeter if instead of having to cover it up we could accept people for who they are ? you know that girl is going to feel self conscious and afraid every time she goes on a date . I fail to see the sweet .
User avatar #187 to #9 - dafunkad (01/15/2012) [-]
Well i have who friend who has the same thing ( a fake ear)
and unfortunatly we tend not to accept people who have this kind of defect,
He had his fake ear only when he was around 12, and before that had to change school because other kid were making fun of him and insulted him.

sry for the grammar english isn't my native language.

Personally, it gives me hope that she won't feel like a freak, she won't be scarred by repetitive abuse.

it isn't hope that you're talking about . it's that you are glad about it .

"A feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen."

I'm desiring her self esteem won't be torn down as she gets older.
