you're bashing an entire community of millions of online gamers for playing world of warcraft. I wasn't gonna troll you for playing TOR. Just like i don't troll people for playing runescape. If you enjoy it, good on you. Wish i could still enjoy video games like i used to. At this point in my gaming career I just don't have fun with video games anymore
I didn't buy TOR because it seemed too much like WoW with lightsabers, with a ME style storyline.
The storyline is good but when i play MMOs i have this weird thing where i disregard all story and just sprint for the finish line.

"I didn't buy TOR because it seemed too much like WoW"
That is the exact reason I said what i did about the WoW community, people who play WoW feel that every game out there is a knock off of WoW, this is completely inaccurate. Every game is going to feel like WoW, just like Many games feel like EQ, Eq2, Lotro, Aion, Guild Wars,RIFT, etc. No game is going to be 100% new to anyone that has played an MMO because all MMOs use the simple factor of "if its not broke dont fix it". There was a Long debate on whether EQ2 "Stole" from Lineage 2 with the class systems. TOR doesn't Seem too much like WOW because it is NOT WoW.... Comments like that just show how people are Closed Minded.
Any who... Yes the Story does seem ME orientated but i am loving the care and detail put into it, I have been leveling with a few friends and the diversity in classes we play has not interrupted out game play in anyway. They keep you in the same general area and surrounded by Cooperative quest-lines. If anything i believe it allows you to experience the Storylines of other classes while being able to enjoy your preferred class

i don't like WoW. It sounds stupid considering how long i played it but i really dont. I LOVED DAoC if you ever played that. It was amazing.
I think EQ/EQ2 felt different from most mmos. SWG (Pre-cu was different and fun). At this point the games that play with WoW schemed controls are just wow with a new skin as far as i'm concerned. Little to no innovation.
AOC was great on the control scheme, but I felt like the classes were terribly balanced (my demo couldn't kill shit, and then they nerfed it's only good ability. Brother played Herald of Xotli and one shot people 5+ levels higher then him)
I'm not being closed minded to this. trust me, i tried the game a couple times in beta. I didn't like the party system, didn't like the control scheme, felt like i was playing reskinned WoW. I hate wow and don't wanna play it even if i did upgrade my large steel sword for a nice shiny lightsaber.

i mean i wanna play. I just don't wanna spend that kind of money. Believe me, i try to give games a chance. With Rift i hated it. I went back and forced myself to play till about 25-30. I just couldn't do it anymore.
I'm sure i'll give TOR another chance when i have more money, but as of right now i just don't feel its different enough from WoW to warrant the 60$.
I want a new game to come along with a non-WoW style control scheme. I know WoW made millions of dollars and continues to do so, but that doesn't mean you need to make every single game have that same control scheme.

didnt have must physically impressive, Authenticator, Audio disks nice metal case for your DvDDisks and a book or something. but exclusive in game vendor access as well as some other neat little vanity items. typical games it probably would of been a 100 dollar collector item but TOR was a expensive game in general
