I'm pretty sure it's just because it's funny, and as far as not being able to beat Bruce Lee -that fucker played ping pong with nun-chucks, not being able to beat him up is hardly an indication of weakness.

I just wanna clear some stuff up, not that anyone is gonna care, but YOU my good sir, are being way too literal. Chuck Norris jokes came about as a result of his crappily made B-rated movies in which he was basically kicking everyone's ass reardless of how dumb he really seemed.
These jokes began as sarcasm, merely to mock his movies and acting. But as the jokes became more popular and more in depth, people just began to accept the original sarcasm of the jokes as truth.
So i understand that you find Chuck Norris' fandom to be dumb, but please recognize that this is exactly what youre supposed to feel.
Your ignorance is clouding your perception, i hope i informed you well enough
TL;DR ----> Chuck Norris' cheesy overratedness is what makes him cool. Don't hate, appreciate.

It was a joke from 2005, so you may want to catch up on internet sensations. Also I just checked, and he's anti-SOPA, so I don't know where you got that from. His show is genius compared to the "Two and A Half Men" garbage that people watch now-a-days. And good for him for being a Conservative. He's also know for his billions of kung-fu battles, not just against Bruce Lee. I honestly don't know where you got any of these facts from.

People like him because , he served in the army , The United States Air Force.
Allot of people like Walker Texas Ranger.
He won multiple martial arts tournaments he retired with 183 wins , 10 losses , 2 draws.
He was in a shitload of good movies.
His internet popularity made him even more awesome.
But OF COURSE all this isn't in this opinion of yours.
If you are going to give your opinion don't only speak of the bad parts , include the good ones either.
And on a side note don't fucking tell me who i'm supposed to like and who i shouldn't.
