My hardware is ******* awesome. I have Monster cables inside my Monster cables so I can 11101 while I 101100. It's retarded.

What if I relly on electric stuff for my image, im rich and hate african kids BUT im jewish, what should i do then?

wow I feel like a tard because I spent $20 on a 1 foot cable just because a Sony store is only a 5 minuet walk from my house... and Fred Meyers wanted a lot more for it.
Living in a small town sucks.

I work at Best Buy.... Sadly this is 100% accurate. HDMI cables have obscene amounts of markup on them but we actually lose about $3 on every PS3 slim we sell
User avatar #5 to #3 - Ashtwofourthree (03/31/2010) [-]
speaking of PS3's wtf is with sony and revoking linux support without permission from console owners? ... thats like selling someone a car and then later coming back and saying ''oh BTW we are upgrading your car now so that you have to choose between having wheels or having an engine because we thing that having both is unsafe"

Heres what ya do.

1.Get a wire,any wire.

2.Use it as an hdmi cable for your tv/console or whatever.

User avatar #44 to #40 - Ashtwofourthree (04/01/2010) [-]
1. get wire
2. list on ebay as "space-age HDMI cable"
3. ?????
4. profit
User avatar #48 to #44 - Nitro (04/01/2010) [-]
profit indeed

Monster cables have ALWAYS been a rip-off. Do what I did. When I bought my HD flatscreen, I asked them to throw in an HDMI cable for free. They did. Happily.
User avatar #32 - spidermartin (04/01/2010) [-]
this is so awesome it just grew its own nutsack
User avatar #29 - MoonMan (03/31/2010) [-]
Everything Monster makes is a complete ripoff. They sell their products through the ignorance of their customers. To most, common sense says that the $250 cable will outperform the $10 cable. Any true audio enthusiast can tell you all about Monster ;)
User avatar #28 - thewolfkiba (03/31/2010) [-]
This is so true. Bought mine from eBay for $15. Totally worth it

I'm so high this made no sense, but i'm high enough to bookmark it and later wonder what the **** i'm talking about right now. But the point is that as long as i'm high i remember things im going to forget. wait...what?

ugh i wish i had known this 2 weeks ago. just got a new tv and they definitely ripped us off :/
User avatar #16 - TheAnteatr (03/31/2010) [-]
My HDMI cable costed me a grand total of $7 shipped to my door. ^ foot and it works 100% perfectly. Monster cables are a huge rip off.

My dad gets HDMI cables for 5 dollars, and they start at 80. best buy ftw.

Scary, but true. Gold plated terminals are the way to go, as gold is the best conductor on earth, but gold plated copper is close enough, unless you're NASA! As far as digital signals go, it's all or nothing, poor connections or shielding will introduce errors, but once it's error free, it can't get any better.
User avatar #10 to #7 - vantagefivehundred (03/31/2010) [-]
actually no, gold is definitely NOT the best conductor on earth, not even close. talk to any mechanic, welder, electrician, silver is the best conductor . copper is actually a better conductor than gold even. gold is used surface to surface conduction and heat dissipation
User avatar #59 to #10 - Fear The Pie Man (04/03/2010) [-]
Ok, you may be right about silver, as I do remember hearing during WWII, silver was used for wiring to conserve copper for munitions, and when those buildings were torn down, the workers were nearly strip searched to be sure they weren't stealing it. But still, digital signals are all or nothing, a blessing and a curse at the same time. Good shielding is more important now.
User avatar #12 to #10 - basicargentinian (03/31/2010) [-]
TEH best conductor is plantinum methink.
User avatar #13 to #12 - vantagefivehundred (03/31/2010) [-]
its high up there on the list, but silver is number one my good sir
User avatar #21 to #13 - Ashtwofourthree (03/31/2010) [-]
hopefully this settles this dispute?

Silver: best
Copper: 9% less conductive than silver
Aluminium is 10% less conductive than copper
Gold: 24% less conductive than copper (but doesn't tarnish or corrode)
Brass is somewhere here.
Rhodium: 74% less conductive than copper
Iridium: 77% less conductive than copper
Platinum: 84% less conductive than copper
Titanium: Over 99% less conductive than copper
#31 to #21 - BloodyT (04/01/2010) [-]
You guys are Idiots, wood is clearly the best conductor of electricity..
Why? because i had this tree in my back yard that was struck by lightning.. not my silver chain, not my gold watch, not my platinum rims, not my titanium abs (yes im a douche)
