this is how i feel when ponies *_*

All I gotta say is that I've started my daily browsing in 2006, and I went from complete nebie to big oldRichard Simmons. I"ve seen and learned a lot of things in this time, many things interesting and disturbing. Then came the pony phenomena, which is nothing like anything I have seen before.

I don't like the show, and seeing the bronies having to make everyone like ponies and make ponies be everywhere and win everything just makes my oldRichard Simmonsness so mad...

I really have been here for so long.

Well, we bronies aren't so much interested in making everyone LIKE ponies (don't get me wrong, there are a good amount who get butthurt when someone says they don't like ponies), just we found that a very wide audience of people are capable of liking the show, so we see who else could become fans of it.

and i respect that you don't like the show, and i apologize if bronies seem to be trying to take things over, but it's just a very popular, tenacious fandom right now :/

the whole "making everything ponies" thing is just people showing they like things other than MLP. me for instance, i LOVE MLP, but i also LOVE warhammer 40k, and so i crossed the two in some of my drawings (if you would like to see), because A) i had a blast doing it and B) i found it hilarious.

Well, okay then. It's just that they kind of took away the charm of the internet, whatever charm that was.

personally, and it's really the brony fanboy in me talking, i find the whole thing rather delightful, being that people could adopt some rather positive attitudes getting into the show/fandom.

of course, it's not for everyone, and i understand that.

I think it was how the internet wasn't for everybody back then, but that's a whole different thing, although it meets the ponies every once in a while. Just look at 4chan back then in those various screenshots, and look at it today for an example on that.

i honestly try to stay away from 4chan lol, i only drop into specific threads here and there to check out what people are talking about, but even then that's pushing it.

mayormilkman, if you have been in the internet for so much as you say. Why would you give out your opinion knowing what happens to them?

well, i give mine because not everyone are senseless douchbags who are incapable of having structured discussions.

I completely understand what you're saying. It is definitely annoying when bronies flaunt their bronyism, but it's hard to change the internet. Really hard. We can't really change it whether we like it or not, and there is always going to be a flamboyant, obnoxious brony.

Most do.

well, first off, bronies get a lot of flack for watching MLP in the first place, many of which have found it almost impossible to reason with others about accepting that they like the show, and so they just reply to negative/hateful comments with something that is fairly neutral.

i would MUCH rather bronies respond to haters with "haters gonna hate" and "deal with it" than responding like children using insults and statements like "BAAWWWW WHY DON'T YOU LIKE WHAT I LIKE BAAWWWW"

besides, many can't help but post images like that, because the very presence of MLP erupts such a shitstorm in people that onlookers feel the need to go "fuck bronies" or "fuck MLP".

if they REPLIED to a comment saying "haters gonna hate" or "deal with it", then it would be more acceptable, but it just makes them seem that much more full of shit when they just post them at random. Ignoring haters would probably be the best solution but we both know that's not going to happen. You do make good points though so thumb for you.

well, it's sometimes easier to just respond to the whole post when there are shitstorms abound, since you usually get a shitstorm every which way direction, and it could get fairly tiresome responding to each negative comment lol.

but i do agree, spamming images everywhere, especially in unrelated areas, is totally uncool.
