Bleach or Naruto? [READ DESCRIPTION!!]

What's it about?

It's about awesome.

Really, it follows two brothers, Ed (blond in the middle) and Al (armor in back). They both study alchemy, a powerful, complicated, dangerous, and profitable art that exists in their world. The military dictatorship of their country employs "state alchemists" to work solely for the government, puppets essentially. Ed and Al grew up in a very rural, secluded part of the country. Their father left mysteriously when they were young and their mother was left to take care of them. The father was an alchemist, and Ed and Al (both geniuses) learned alchemy from the books he left behind. Their mother adored it so they drove on trying to learn. When they were both still young, their mother fell ill and died. Grieving and alone, Ed decided he and Al would try the 'impossible': using alchemy on a human: "human transmutation." It is strictly against every law in the book because it's been tried, and has failed so many times, usually killing the alchemists in the process, as it violates the law of equivalent exchange. Ed and Al try anyway to recreate their mother and bring her back, and needless to say it backfired. Ed lost his left leg in the attempt; Al lost his whole body (they were seriously ripped apart) and in one last desperate attempt, Ed was able to get Al's soul back and bind it to the suit of armor you see in exchange for his right arm. (Both his left leg and right arm in the picture are prosthetic) Alone, crippled, and traumatized, the boys are given one last Hail Mary to get their bodies back--a philosopher's stone, which can bypass the laws of alchemy. To due so, Ed becomes a state alchemist, meaning he'll have access to the most secret research material, but also is bound, life and limb, to the military.

But what actually happens over Brotherhood is SOO much more than that. Not a straightforward plot, but brilliant twists, amazing characters, and the best ending in anime. It's about war, duty, sacrifice, life, and what it means to be human.

(Might not be clear, but the philosopher's stone is a myth; it might not even exist. But finding one would be their only chance to right things, and joining with the military would give them the resources to chase after the legend. The military doesn't just hand out free philosopher's stones to new recruits...)

im watching FMA (not brotherhood) and i was wondering if i have to watch FMA to watch brotherhood?

Now, I'm not 100%, but no you don't. Brotherhood is like FMA but with a few added things, and takes out a few of the things that the original had. So it helps, but it's not necessary. :)

You saw the american version? You saw the 4kids Dub, the same people who dubbed pokemon. Don't watch the american version, they turn guns into water guns or hammers (pic related), they change some black people intro tannish ones, etc. horrible

The live action movies were terrible.Wasn't Rem a guy in that movie and Light looks nothing like the one in the manga and the anime.L is the only reason that movie is pretty decent and most animes or cartoons that have live action movies turn out terrible.Just look at Avatar,Dragon Ball,etc.

no avatar would have been great but that idiot m.night shamalamadingdong totally ruined it. i agree with you about dragon ball: evolution but other live action anime are decent

This is the all time best anime/manga ever, in both the ways of how good it is, and how it sells, The thing about bleach and naruto is they both got bad after in the manga of somewhere around 27 maybe 28, but one piece is still the best selling in Japan, as well as the time skips, naruto shippuden is terrible, the new bleach isn't even bleach, but one piece only got better.
