I think he's a great Commander-and-Chief, and supports agencies that are very important to us. Ron Paul looks promising, but cutting the EPA would kill me in a few years so I think I'll stick with Obama.

They didnt cut nasa. I cant tell you how many times I've heard this. They merely cut the shuttle program, only because they didnt have the funding to afford both having a shuttle and rocket program at the same time. Rockets are much cheaper and are able to do everything we need, until we are planning to send humans somewhere important. Trust me, NASA is still alive and well.

1) Saved us from what may have been a Great Depression
2) Helped to oust a ruthless dictator.
3) Passed a healthcare bill that more than half of Americans were in favor of.
4) Killed Osama bin Laden.
5) Ended our almost 10 year presence in Iraq that should never have happened in the first place and has gotten thousands of people killed.
6) Created hundreds of thousands if not millions of private sector jobs, thus lowering the jobless rate to the lowest in years.
I think he has a decent chance. The Republican party seems to hate all of their candidates. Gingrich has no support from the base, Ron Paul is called crazy, Bachmann has no idea what planet we're on, Romney is the only one with a chance of winning a general election and they don't seem very happy about him either.

Obama did not kill bin Laden. Obama was merely president when bin Laden was killed by the SEALS. If we hadn't gone to Iraq, Al Qaeda would still rule many parts of the country and the citizens would continue to be oppressed by Saddam Hussein.

I understand that, however many voters equate the death of bin Laden with Obama, therefore giving him more support.
Sure we got Hussein out of the picture, but Al Qaeda still "controls" most of the country with fear. The death toll in Baghdad rises every few hours, it seems. They may not technically have "control" but if they can just set car bombs wherever they want, I call that control. They're trying to start a full out civil war between Sunnis and Shias!
Killing Hussein just opened a power vacuum. He also could have aided us with fighting Al Qaeda. If you read up on him, Hussein really disliked al Qaeda and I'm 99% sure we could have struck a deal with him.
Iraq was more stable before we went in (after the first Gulf War, I do think that was necessary).
Anyway, the question you have to ask is, which is worse: Having to follow strict rules, with very harsh consequences (death, etc.) or having to worry about getting blown to bits when you're just walking around, minding your business?
There's no clear answer to that, really. I think my point is this: the things we did over there are mostly in vain. If any peace is to come about, it must be from within.
