No, what he's saying is that at least SOME House Representatives and Senators still have the interests of the people on their minds, rather than lining their own pocket with corporate-funded dollars.

You can't just sit back rely on a couple of people *hopefully* preventing something as monstrous as SOPA being passed.

Evidently they DONT have the interests of the people on their minds given that 2 days ago, the house passed the "National Defence Authorization Act". Which allows US citizens to be arrested, detained and tortured indefinitely, without having a trial or charges even brought against them. They've also decided to give themselves the "right" to do this to whoever they please in other countries- i.e they SAY they can legally kidnap non-Americans as well, regardless of the law in said countries.

Wake up. The US is becoming more fascist than democratic, and having such a complacent attitude is precisely what enables this to go ahead.

Do your research. The Bill of Rights clearly states that we can't be detained or arrested without charge. That bill COULDN'T be passed because it's a direct violation of the Constitution.

Undermining the constitution is PRECISELY what they are doing, yes it is completely morally and ethically wrong, but the bill effectively declares the US a warzone, so that they are allowed do this under war laws.
