I'm a drummer. The Rev who drummed for them was a really good drummer. He's dead now so show a little respect for his legacy and don't say they weren't remotely talented because in 2009 he won the best drummer of the year at the Revolver Golden God awards, he won it off Joey Jordison.

fignewtonz (12/10/2011) [-] these guys bitching about other types of music have probably never touched an instrument. Most musicians respect the music that other people make even if it isnt their favorite. I know my music tastes expanded dramatically when I picked up drumming. The Rev was a really talented and creative drummer. For that, I like Avenged Sevenfold.

They make the music they want to make and they sing about what they want to sing about. You hate them just because they don't quite fit the category of music you think they are trying to fit into? You probably don't even play any fucking instruments. Only someone that has never even touched a guitar or a pair of drum sticks would bitch about the music someone else is making just because it is different.

Avenged sevenfold plays what they think is good, and millions of fans for it. the writing is awesome, the drums are sweet and the guitars a legendary. quit trolling no one gives a fuck about your musical opinions

All of their solos and riffs sound the same, they also have no creativity when it comes to terms with lyrics. And also do you see the contradiction in your comment?
