- this post satirically criticizes America
- therefore OP is automatically assumed to be European and Americans get mad at Europeans
- therefore Europeans get mad at the American
- the letters F, A and G get thrown around
- people get arrogant
- historical biases get blown up
- figurative proxy war begins in the comment section

I'll just sit up here with my poutine while you guys have at it, k?

21 being the legal drinking age, yet 16 be the driving age and 18 being the voting age is pretty ridiculous in my opinion. Everything should be set at 18, at least that's the way I see it.

Anyway, I'm from the southern border of Indiana, from a small town full of rednecks. There's really nothing to do there besides get fat and use the computer. The only things there are outside your own home are drugged up criminals.

I've moved to China, and have been here for 2.5 years, with half a year left to go before I return to the states. I thought it'd be some bad place because the media and governments of the western world have taught their people to pretty much outright despise China. Ironically, I have more freedom here than in America. You can drink at age 18, and pretty much all other laws here aren't enforced. They only care if you take something that isn't your's, hurt another person, or have a connection to drugs (and I'm against illegal drugs, so that works well with me).

They don't nit-pick you about smaller things. You can easily get around censorship by using a VPN or proxy, and smaller sites like FunnyJunk aren't blocked anyway. They don't really care what you say about the government unless you're attracting crowds of people in some kind of rebellious act, which such acts are taken down by so called 'free' countries as well.

In China there is Burger King, McDonald's, KFC, and even Hooters for crying out loud. The Chinese love westerners as well. There's also many foreigners here that I'm friend's with, and English is growing fast here. Most of the cities are very modern, especially mine which is a model city. The streets are cleaner than American ones, they actually pick up their garbage and keep things cleared out.
I've lived a good life here in this country the rest of the world labels an enemy just for being Communist, which really, they're not even real Communist, their economy is Capitalist.

Kinda unrelated story I guess, sorry.

Guys, I don't think this post was made for bashing Americans :/. I think what op is saying, is that, America sucks right now. The economy is shit, so therefore he can't afford a car, and if he did, he couldn't afford to get gas, so going anywhere fun is crossed off. Secondly, he isn't old enough for a drink, so he can't go to the bar with his friends and enjoy a drink or two. Thirdly, well I guess he can't fastfood or visit his grandpa because I would assume he needs a car to go to those places. I don't know :/, that's my interpretation of it.

I think our obesity comes from lack of physical activity more than McDonald's. Too much time on the internet (yeah I know I'm one of them recently). I'ma break the habit though. Cheers yo!

hey guys just ONE LITTLE THING .... every SINGLE country has its quirks... america has fat people, china is "repressed", greece is about to break down, spain has 20% unemployment, etc. etc. why this obsession with the united states??? it's no worse than any other goddam country. the only difference is it's HUGE ... and most of the people who make fun of america have never actually even been there.
stop feeling "against the system" and if you don't like america, don't move there.
